One Point Five Pixels
Our games studio. One Point Five Pixels rebuilds India's traditional board games for modern screens: Pallanguzhi and Ashta Chamma, free on the web, iOS and Android.

Primary Constraint
Each game has to keep its traditional rules and regional names intact, and play the same on the web, iOS and Android, from a single rules engine per game.
Problem Context
Games like Pallanguzhi and Ashta Chamma are taught at home, so their rules and even their names change from family to family and region to region. Digital versions tend to flatten that. The studio set out to rebuild them faithfully: rules a grandparent would recognise, regional names and history with their sources, and free to play on any device.
System Design Focus
- Deterministic rules engines in pure Dart, kept apart from rendering and UI
- Rules as configuration: Pallanguzhi's traditional and Kuzhi variants are two rule settings, not two code paths
- Computer opponents at several difficulty levels (two in Pallanguzhi, three in Ashta Chamma)
- Online multiplayer in Ashta Chamma, joined by room code or QR code
- One Flutter codebase per game for web, iOS and Android, plus a static studio site with sourced heritage pages
What this Demonstrates
Taking a product line from rules engine to app-store release and the web while keeping a cultural subject accurate: deterministic game logic backed by thousands of automated tests, AI opponents, real-time multiplayer, and a studio brand with its own site, press kit and search presence.
